The Nashville Area Psychological Association is a 501(c)(6) organization that aims to:​

• Advance psychology as a science and as a means of promoting human welfare by the encouragement of the study and practice of psychology in all its branches; and
• Stimulate community and professional interest in psychology and a better understanding of the role of psychology in the Nashville area.
